On Tuesday 24 November we will visit St Pancras Station. It is a very long time since Art in the Park went to St Pancras and there are a lot of good things to sketch: the dramatic gothic architecture, statues (Sir John Betjeman and the Lovers), and this year the Christmas Tree which is a tower, more details here There will be passengers to draw, and hopefully a pianist on the lower concourse.
We will meet at 11 o'clock at the huge statue of The Lovers, which is at street level inside and is the designated Meeting Place for the International Train Station. See illustration prepared earlier:
By a miracle we will avoid any tube strikes, there is one scheduled for the Thursday of that week. We will be undercover, but please wrap up well. Please bring your sketching stools so that you can sit where you want. Hardy artists can of course sketch outside if they can find somewhere suitable.
Sue's phone number for the day is 07975 864 142.
Happy sketching!
